Trials of Mana is a remake of Seiken Densetsu 3, a Japanese game that was released in 1995. Trials of Mana is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the Super Famicon. The game follows a story of three heroes and acknowledges the bold role they play in restoring peace in the city. Trials of Mana is a sequel of the 1993 game called Secret of Mana, and it is the third installment in the Mana series.
The Plot
The game is set in a deep fantasy world and narrates a life of three heroes who attempts to claim the legendary Mana Sword and prevent the Benevodons from being released by evil people to enemies the world. The storylines takes us through a fictional world where Mana represents an ghostly, but finite, energy source from spirits. To form the basis of the game, a story is told that the Mana Goddess created the game’s world by forging the powerful Sword of Mana and defeating eight monsters of destruction, the Benevodons.
Features of The Remake Version
The game has 4K HD graphics and will be released on 24th April, 2020. The remake has a lot of modern features, thus will look different from its predecessor, Secret of Mana. It has multiple enhancements including use of time progression system that will allow players to transition from day to night and weekday to weekend during game time. Days pass in minutes when playing the game. Extra features include a wide range of character classes to choose from. Every character class has an exclusive set of skills, status progression, and abilities. The modern game will allow two players to participate simultaneously, unlike its predecessor, which is a single-player game.
Officially Available for English Speakers
English speakers were unable to play the Densetsu 3 since the game was published in Japanese. Though unofficial translation was made available for Western and European players, the game had not gained popularity among English speakers. Fortunately, an official English version of Trials of Mana will now be available. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and compatible with Microsoft Windows.
