Overview
This game takes place in a large city recovering from war. This war happened several decades before the game began. As the player, you take the role of an amnesiac detective tasked with solving a mysterious murder, but since the game features no combat at all, the player has to solve the murder using the 24 different skill checks. All these skills represent the various aspects of the detective, such as the amount of pain he can bear.
The Games Plot
The player wakes up in a shabby hostel room with no memory of his past and with a throbbing hangover. He then meets a lieutenant who informs him that they are both tasked with investigating the death of a man found hanging in the cafeteria. He later realises that a mob lynched the man and was a well-decorated detective.
The detective has to explore the city and help people out with different tasks to gather leads to his case. He later discovers that the man was killed before he was hanged. He also follows several other leads until he finally arrests the person responsible. As the game nears the end, his former squad confronts him and begin evaluating if the case was solved and how he handled all the obstacles on his path.
