Although yet to be released, the new Elder Scrolls game is much anticipated. Set in the same Elder Scrolls world that gamers have come to love, it will continue in the single-player mode of earlier games rather than as an MMORPG, like Elder Scrolls Online. Produced by Bethesda under the direction of Todd Howard, its production has been shrouded in secrecy and there is no official release date; but it is coming, just don’t expect it for several more years at least. Rumoured Storyline and Setting
Little is known of Elder Scrolls 6’s character base, world or plot, but it is guaranteed to introduce a new aspect of the familiar races gamers have come to know over the last several decades. There have been rumours that the plot will centre around the continent of Akavir and the Akavari, a vampiric race mentioned in 2002’s The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. However, there are numerous other regions yet to be explored in the Elder Scrolls series’ massive world, such as the Black Marsh, Elsweyre or Valenwood. Wherever the game is set, it’s sure to draw on the aftermath of the civil war featured in 2011’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
